Frank Moebus

 

Frank Moebus is a waterproofing, tiling and flooring expert with over 35 years of experience in the field. He is the principal tiling, flooring and waterproofing consultant for Australian Tiling and Waterproofing Consultants and he is an approved BMI Malaysia, CETCO and Soprema Quality inspector for above and below ground waterproofing.

 

He is a Certificated Surveyor in Structural Waterproofing and holds a Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling, a Certificate III in Construction Waterproofing and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessing.

 

Frank is the Independent Chair of Standards Australia Committee BD-044 Fixing of Ceramic, Natural and Reconstituted Stone Tiles, a member of Standards Australia Committee BD-038 Wet Areas in Buildings and a member of the Moisture testing of Concrete working group. He is also a member of the International Standards Organisation (ISO) Technical Committee 189 – Ceramic tiles.

 

He leads the Australian Institute of Waterproofing Technical Committee, is a member of the Queensland Building and Construction Commission Expert panel for tiling and waterproofing and a member of the Experts Direct and Nationwide Experts panel of experts for tiling, flooring and waterproofing.

 

Frank consults in tiling, flooring and waterproofing matters, providing defect assessments and repair solutions for tiling, flooring and waterproofing defects. He provides pro-active defects prevention solutions for new construction of residential and commercial buildings. He has been instrumental in the creation of specifications and methodologies for new and remedial tiling, flooring and waterproofing work.

 

Frank has vast experience in most sectors of the industry including the chemical formulation and testing of waterproofing membranes and tile adhesives, as well as the installation of wall and floor tiles, resilient flooring materials and waterproofing membranes. He has further experience in specifying and supplying tiles, adhesives, flooring products and membranes to architects, developers, builders and contractors.
