Australian Institute of Waterproofing (AIW) Membership Terms & Conditions

1. Membership Eligibility and Categories
- 1.1 Eligibility: Membership is open to professionals and companies in the construction waterproofing industry, including suppliers, contractors, and consultants.
- 1.2 Categories: Membership categories may include but are not limited to, individual, corporate, and student memberships. Criteria and benefits for each category are described in the membership section of the AIW website.
2. Application and Acceptance
- 2.1 Application: Prospective members must complete the application process, providing accurate and current information.
- 2.2 Acceptance: AIW reserves the right to approve or reject applications based on compliance with eligibility criteria and other considerations deemed relevant by the association.
3. Membership Fees and Renewal
- 3.1 Fees: Members are required to pay annual membership fees as set by AIW.
- 3.2 Renewal: Membership is renewable annually. Members will receive a reminder and must renew their membership to maintain their member status and benefits.
4. Code of Conduct
- 4.1 Compliance: Members must adhere to AIW’s Code of Conduct, promoting professionalism, integrity, and ethical behavior in the waterproofing industry.
- 4.2 Breach: Violation of the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including membership suspension or termination.
5. Rights and Responsibilities

6. Intellectual Property

8. Termination

- 8.2 By AIW: AIW may terminate a membership if a member fails to comply with these Terms & Conditions, the Code of Conduct, or for any other reason deemed significant by the association.
9. Amendments
- 9.1 Revisions: AIW reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Members will be notified of significant changes.
- 9.2 Acceptance: Continued membership following such amendments constitutes acceptance of the new Terms & Conditions.
10. Governing Law
- 10.1 Jurisdiction: These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia.
- 10.2 Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms & Conditions shall be resolved through mediation, or if necessary, legal proceedings in Australia.
